| The Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games will be held in Guangzhou from December 12 to 19, 2010 - half a month after the 16th Asian Games - featuring 3,000 athletes from 45 Asian countries and regions competing in 19 sports. About 2,000 team officials, 1,100 technical officials and 2,000 members of domestic and international media are expected for the event. |
| Chefs de Mission Seminar |
| Chefs de Mission Seminar will take place on May 28 and 29. During the seminar, GAPGOC will announce to the National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) policies and procedures for participating in the Games. As a major milestone in the lead-up to the Games, the seminar will mark the transition of Games preparations from policy making to task force and venuisation operations. |

| The official emblem of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games is inspired by the Xiguan Flower Window, a design element that can be found in traditional houses in Guangzhou. The Asian Para Games are for the people of Asia, both the physically challenged and the able-bodied.
