Guangzhou celebrates 100-day countdown to Asian Para Games

Guangzhou, September 3 - Themed "Glory of Asia, Light of Life", the 100-Day Countdown (Charity) Ceremony of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Game was held at Tianhe Gymnasium in Guangzhou on Friday (September 3) night.

Huang Huahua, Deputy Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Governor of Guangdong and Executive President of the Guangzhou Asian Para Games Organising Committee (GAPGOC), turned on the light for the countdown ceremony. Then a commemorative stamp for the Games was unveiled.

The gala comprised four chapters: "We Cheer", "We Share", "We Win" and "Viva for Shining Life" with donation sessions between them. It featured a number of celebrities from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore, including singer Alan Tam, Hacken Lee, Joey Yung, Leo Ku and Han Hong, blind boy pianist He Yuxuan and Guangzhou Asian Para Games Promotion Ambassador Li Chen, Lawrence Wong (Singapore), Nathan Lee (South Korea), Liang Yongbin and Xu Gehui. All performances were charitable.
