Wheelchair Tennis Tour around the world

The NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour is making its way around the world and giving Paralympic Sport fans a chance to catch the action on the court.

Taking place from June 16 to 20, the Atlanta Open in the USA saw world number ten Frederic Cattaneo (FRA) win the first International Tennis Federation (ITF) One Series title of his career and his first NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour title of 2010. Cattaneo won in the Men's Main Draw Singles, while Sharon Walraven and David Wagner took the Women's Singles and Quad Singles titles respectively.

Both Men's Main Draw Semifinals resulted in strong contests as second seed Cattaneo defeated American former world number one Stephen Welch 7:5, 4:6, 6:0. Top seed Satoshi Saida of Japan prevented a complete French win as he edged out third seed Frederic Cazeaudumec 7:6, 2:6, 6:4.

The final saw Cattaneo in top form as he secured his second victory this year over world number eight Saida, winning 6:1, 6:3.

Nyasha Mharakurwa (ZIM), Kgothatso Montjane (RSA) and Lucas Sithole (RSA) wrapped up back-to-back titles after winning the Men's Main Draw Singles, Women's Singles and Quad Singles Finals at the Airport Company South Africa Limpopo Open in Polowane, Taking place from June 19 to 23.

And in Prostejov, Czech Republic, from June 16 to 20, Austrian world number nine Martin Legner won two titles, including his first NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour Men's Singles Title of 2010. Legner also was paired with Sweden's Peter Wikstrom to win the Men's Doubles.
