Guangzhou, May 28 - A ceremony was arranged to celebrate the establishment of the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Coordination Group for the upcoming Guangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games on Friday afternoon in the Municipal Hall.
Zhang Huoqing, Executive Director of Executive Office under the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Coordination Group and Deputy Secretary General of Guangzhou Municipality hosted the ceremony, during which officiating guests included Liu Yajun, Group Leader of the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Coordination Group, Director of Central South Regional Administration under the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), and Gan Xin, Group Leader of the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Coordination Group and Vice Mayor of Guangzhou Municipality.
The Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Coordination Group for the upcoming Guangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games is set up.
In order to ensure smooth operation and convenient custom clearance for the accredited personnel and materials during Games time, the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC) and the Guangzhou Asian Para Games Organising Committee (GAPGOC) set up an coordination group at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport which acts an important port of the host city to welcome and see off the Asian Games family and Asian Para Games family.
The division of work, appointment for team managers, next steps and other important remarks were also announced at the event.
Gan addressed the event and encouraged the team to carry out each critical task with commitment and passion during the preparation period as a core venue operation team equipped with outstanding management and vision, while Liu claimed the CAAC's fully support for the two Games.
The Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Coordination Group is made up of various teams on the frontier inspection, customs inspection, inspection & quarantine, port visas, security check, airport ground support and aviation support.
