Tickets are available online for the 2010 Sitting Volleyball World Championships hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma July 10-18 at UCO's (University of Central Oklahoma) Hamilton Field House and Wellness Centre.
The competition will feature 500 athletes from more than 30 men's and women's national teams from around the world, and will serve as a qualifier for the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.
"This event is the first of its kind in the United States," said Katrina Shaklee, Director of Sports and Recreation at UCO.
"The competition will help raise awareness of this great Paralympic sport. We want people to come and cheer on these elite national teams."
Opening ceremonies will be from 7 to 9 p.m. July 10 at Hamilton Field House, recognising all countries represented and featuring entertainment celebrating Oklahoma's culture. General admission tickets are $10.
Competition will begin 9 a.m. daily July 11-18. Day passes are $5 for children $11 for younger and seniors. All others are $10.
The closing celebration will be about one hour after the medal ceremonies July 18 at Frontier City. Tickets are $15.
