All the selected songs from the three rounds of solicitation will be appraised by experts and the Theme Songs of the Asian Games and Asian Para Games will be unveiled upon the 100-day countdown to the 16th Asian Games.
Guangzhou, March 10 - The 2nd Awards Ceremony for Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games Selected Songs will be held at Guangzhou Gymnasium in the evening of March 19 with 15 all-new Asiad-themed songs to be presented, announced the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC) at a press conference on Wednesday.

A number of superstars and newly emerged singers from the Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan will feature in the ceremony, including Priscilla Chan (Chan Wai-han), Chao Chuan, Sha Baoliang, Jin Haixin, Wang Ziming, Elanne Kwong (Kwong Yeuk-Lam), He Jie, the New Seven Little Fortunes (Xin Qi Xiao Fu, Jackie Chan's disciples) and Square (a Hong Kong boy band). GAGOC will award all the singers the title of "Asian Games Singer".
Another highlight at the ceremony will be the launch of China Mobile 12530 Asian Games Songs Zone, allowing users to upload, listen to and download Asiad-themed songs, vote for their favourite songs and singers by text and multimedia messaging, and share Asiad-themed colour rings with friends.
China Mobile, a Prestige Partner of the 16th Asian Games, revealed that audience will enter the ceremony venue with electronic tickets - mobile phone two-dimensional barcodes - instead of paper tickets, an effort to embrace the vision of a "low-carbon Asian Games".
The ceremony will also kick off the third round solicitation of Asiad-themed songs. The organisers will invite first-class musicians to write songs and music for the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games and Asian Para Games. Then all the selected songs from the three rounds will be appraised by experts and the Theme Songs of the Asian Games and Asian Para Games will be unveiled upon the 100-day countdown to the 16th Asian Games, along with songs and music of other functions.
The 2nd Awards Ceremony for Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games will be a milestone for the promotion of Asiad-themed songs and booster for Asian Games atmosphere.
