Guangzhou, February 25 - Maureen Orchard, President of the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) and Technical Delegate for Wheelchair Basketball of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games visited the Guangzhou Administration Centre for Paralympic Sports (GACPS) on Wednesday. She was accompanied by Pei Weimin from the Sports Department of the Games Organising Committee.

Zhang Hong, Director of the GACPS, briefed Mrs Orchard about the centre's wheelchair basketball courts, athletes lounges and barrier-free facilities as well as the training of the Guangdong Provincial Wheelchair Basketball Team. Mrs Orchard was impressed by the completeness of GACPS's sporting facilities and the formation of the Women's Wheelchair Basketball Team of Guangdong.

In May 2009, the GACPS was named Pre-Games Training Venue for Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Racing Events of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games.
