
Buttermilk Mountain and the Aspen area are hosting the International Paralympic Committee 2010 Alpine World Cup finals. The races take place March 2 to 5, with training beforehand. Some 130 athletes and 50 Coaches are expected to attend from the U.S. Adaptive Ski Team and national adaptive ski teams from 13 countries.

Races are on Buttermilk Mountain, which is also home to the X Games. Athletes will compete in two downhills, one super combined, and one super-G. The three categories of racers include sitting, standing, and visually impaired. The events are sanctioned by the USSA, FIS, and International Paralympic Committee.
Awards will be given daily. The National Cup Award will be presented to the country with the most World Cup points for the 2009-10 season. Individual athletes will also be awarded World Cup Overall Titles, in downhill, super combined, and super G.
Athletes move on to Whistler, BC after Aspen, for the Paralympic Winter Games, March 13-21.
