A paralympic champion visited pupils to kick-start a new Olympic sports project.

Gold medallist Danny Crates, 36, from Corringham, met pupils at Furtherwick Park School, Canvey, as the school launched its new legacy programme.
Organised by Olympian David Hemery, the scheme called Be the Best You Can Be, aims to help youngsters develop new skills including coaching, setting goals, teamwork and leadership.
Headteacher Chris Hayes said: "The inspiration offered by our Olympians and Paralympians who strive to achieve their goal is incredibly powerful and can really reach out and touch young people today." (The End)
