
Guangzhou, January 28 - The 2010 Guangzhou and Hong Kong Blind Marathon Championship was held at Dafushan Forest Park in Guangzhou's Panyu District last Saturday as part of preparations for the Asian Para Games.

Co-hosted by the Blind People's Associations of China, Guangzhou, Panyu and Hong Kong, the championship attracted 400 participants from Guangzhou and Hong Kong, including blind runners, volunteers and guide runners.

Three teams representing Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Panyu competed in a five-kilometre run and the Hong Kong team finished first. Ho Wing Luen from Hong Kong set a personal record of 18 minutes, 11.39 seconds.

The Hong Kong team wins the trophy.
All the medalists gave their best wishes to the upcoming Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games.
