
Zhaoqing, January 29 - The Guangdong Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe staged an evening gala at the Sports Centre of Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province on Wednesday in honour of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games. It was the first gala of the troupe's performance tour around Guangdong. Li Naizhen, Director of the Secretariat of the Guangzhou Asian Para Games Organising Committee (GAPGOC), attended the event.

During the gala, artists with various disabilities put on nine items such as songs, dances and dumb shows. Limb-disabled singer Li Tong and hearing-impaired singer Chen Fang and dancer Zheng Shaoge as well as several dumb artists impressed the crowd with their award-winning performances.
Qin Xiaojun, a gold medalist of Table Tennis in the Beijing 2008 Paralympics, was also present at the gala. He gave the audience an introduction of two sports in the Guangzhou Asian Para Games – Table Tennis and Badminton.
