Final preparations are underway for the 2010 Developing Amazing Leaders Paralympic Conference in Colorado Springs, USA, which is aimed at building up Paralympic Sport programmes across the country.

Taking place from April 30 - May 3, the primary goal of the conference is to provide community leaders, military personnel, sport and recreation programme specialists, coaches, physical and occupational therapists, researchers, educators, college students, and other interested parties the tools and the inspiration to implement and support Paralympic Sport programmes. The theme of the conference is "Leadership Through Innovation".

The interactive sessions during the conference will offer opportunities in learning how to build a community programme, as well as developing already operating programmes. Additionally, the conference will offer education on Paralympic sports, and development of leadership skills to assure success.

The conference will also include a special working session targeted at Paralympic Sport Club partner organisations.
