
Guangzhou, January 18 - The Guangzhou Asian Para Games Organising Committee (GAPGOC) signed a memorandum of understanding with Red Cross Society of China on January 14, defining the role of the latter in serving the Guangzhou Asian Para Games, which are due to open on December 12.

A signing ceremony was held at Guangzhou Asian Games Sports and Culture Centre. Officiating guests included Hao Linna, Vice President of China Red Cross, and Ye Xiquan, Deputy Secretary General of GAGOC. In line with the memorandum signed, China Red Cross is expected to provide first aid training to Asian Para Games volunteers, disseminate first aid knowledge among the host city and co-host cities, set up Red Cross Volunteer Service Stations during Games-time and wear Red Cross logo at the competition venues.
