Guangzhou, December 19 - Ms Cannie Yim Fan Leung, Technical Delegate of Boccia of the Guangzhou Asian Para Games, and Mr Hua Qingpang, Counsellor for National Paralympic Committee of China visited Guangzhou from December 18 to 20, providing feasible solutions for the Guangzhou Asian Para Games Organising Committee (GAPGOC) during the preparation period.

On the morning of December 19, Leung made a site visit to the venue of Boccia for the 2010 Asian Para Games - Zhongda Gymnasium, with participation of officials from GAPGOC Sports Department, Games Communication & Promotion Department, Information Technology & Telecommunications Department, Venues Department, Games Services Department, Medical Services Department and Volunteers Department.

Later in the afternoon, a seminar was held in the Guangzhou Asian Games Sports and Culture Centre, presided by Kong Maosheng, Deputy Director of GAPGOC Sports Department. A wide range of topics were discussed, including competition organisation, venue construction and medical classification etc. and both parties reached the consensus that Boccia is to be held in Zhongda Gymnasium during the Guangzhou Asian Para Games in 2010.

Up till now, this is the second Technical Delegate that GAPGOC welcomed here in Guangzhou, following the first one for Volleyball (sitting) event of the Games. In the coming future, GAPGOC will continue to pair with Technical Delegates for 19 sporting events of the Games during the preparation period.
