Bangalore December 1: India bagged 110 medals, even as China topped the Medal tally by winning 71 medals in the IWAS 2009 World Games which concluded here today.
The hosts bagged 32 gold, 38 silver and 40 bronze, while China won 47 gold, 18 silver and six bronze medals. Thailand who won 26 gold, 18 silver and 17 bronze were placed third, Germany took the tally to 37 with 21 gold, 11 silver andfive silver to finish fourth.
Indian swimmers won four gold in the events held on the concluding day. Dharmendra Ahirwar clocked 4:53.50 secs to win gold in 100 M Freestyle S4 category. While Prasanta Karmakar grabed gold in S9 category.
In Women section, Indian swimmers bagged Gold when Rajni Jha finished 100 M Freestyle event with a timing of 2.06:39 secs and Kanchan Chaudhari grabed Gold in S10 Category by clocking 100 m in 1:23.02 secs.
