The Guild hall, which is the only well preserved silk guild hall, was established during the reign of Emperor Yongzheng during the Qing Dynasty (1723) and was formerly located in Xilai New Street in Shangxiajiu Road.

In 2001, to make way for road widening, the Guild Hall was relocated northward by 80 metres, westward by 22.4 metres and elevated by 1.085 metres. In August 2004, the Renovation Project was completed and after two years of testing finally passed inspection.
The relocation project has provided valuable experience for city construction and cultural relic protection. (The End)
