Taiye chicken (Taiye Ji)

Taiye chicken is named after an ancient county mayor. In the late Qing Dynasty, a local mayor invented this dish after his retirement. The cooking method is quite simple. Once boiled, the chicken is then smoked with fried black tea leaves and honey. After it cools, it is sliced and cut into bite size pieces, and added to a special salty soup with honey and MSG.

Wenji serves up the original Qinping chicken. The former chefs of Qingping Restaurant established this restaurant.

Chicken Village Restaurant

A spacious place to try local chicken delicacies. The "braised chicken with shallots" is particularly recommended: cured chicken is braised in a copper pan with white wine, shallots, sliced Chinese dates, and Sichuan pickles, to create a unique taste treat.
