The 2010 Asian Para Games (www.gzapg2010.cn/en/) is part of the worldwide Paralympic Movement and governed by the Asian Paralympic Committee and will begin on December 12, 2010.
The Wheelchair Tennis promotional activity was organised by the Guangzhou Asian Para Games Organising Committee (GAPGOC); Administration of Sports of Guangzhou Municipality; Guangzhou Disabled Persons' Federation; Guangzhou Tennis Association and Shamian Tennis Courts of Guangzhou.
Mr Xu Ruisheng, Executive Deputy Secretary General of the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC) and Vice Mayor of Guangzhou Municipality, Mr Gu Shiyang, Deputy Secretary General of GAGOC and Guangzhou Municipality as well as officials from Administration of Sports of Guangzhou Municipality and Guangzhou Disabled Persons' Federation both attended the activity, run by Mr Li Naizhen, Director of the Secretariat of GAPGOC.

Wheelchair Tennis athletes
"We hope to offer a chance for citizens to know more about Wheelchair Tennis through this activity, while introducing disability sports and the 2010 Asian Para Games to the public," said Mr Gu Shiyang.
Mr Wu Hanbin, an athlete with a disability who represented Wheelchair Tennis was on hand to promote the efforts of the 2010 Asian Para Games.
