It is less than one hour's ride for residents of downtown GZ to experience the excitement of close contact with 460 plants and 41 birds on exhibit there.
Citizens from downtown area and such neighboring cities as Dongguan, Zhongshan, Shenzhen and Zhuhai may avail themselves of express intercity transportation networks like Nanshagang Expressway, West Line of Jingzhu Expressway, Humen Expressway and No.4 Line Railway. It is just within one hour's bus ride.
The park is located in downtown area of Nansha District. It covers a total area of over 1,200 acres. The main summit is 295 meters high and is the highest in the south part of Guangzhou. The park is named after Huangshan Summit and Lushan Summit. As Nansha lies in the geometric center of Zhujiang River Delta, you may have a bird view of Nansha, Shiziyang Outlet and neighboring regions.
A survey on the site by experts of South China Extinctive Animal and Plant Research Institute shows that the park abounds in animal and plant resources and the vegetation coverage reaches 99.9%. Its bird density is the highest among forest parks in Guangzhou.
So far the Phase I project has been concluded, including access cement road, lake-rim asphalt road and one-mile mountain climbing road. The other main scenes that have been completed include Zuilvlang Corridor, Bishuilang Corridor and Xiangliting Pavilion. (The End)
