Guangzhou - The first Coordination Commission Meeting of Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) has been held in preparation for the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games.

During a workshop hosted by Mr Gu Shiyang, Deputy Secretary General of Guangzhou Municipal Government, Mr Dato' Zainal Abu Zarin, President of the APC, Mr Xavier Gonzalez, Chief Executive Officer of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), Mr Jia Yong, Vice President of National Paralympic Committee of China (NPCC), and Mr Xu Ruisheng, Vice Mayor of Guangzhou Municipal Government, all attended, along with other officials from the IPC, APC and NPCC.

A detailed presentation about the preparatory work and progress against Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games was made for all parties involved and the meeting agenda included sports competition, venue planning, barrier-free facilities, medical service and accommodations.

During the two-day workshop, a launch ceremony for the official website of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games is held and officials from the IPC, APC and NPCC will visit the Asian Games Town, venue for the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games. (The End)
