The 2^nd DIBF Word Deaf Basketball Championship was rounded off today, which was directly sponsored by the FIBA and DIBF, co-sponsored by Chinese Disabled Person Federation and Chinese National Sports Bureau, undertaken by Guangzhou people's government.

Through 8 splendidly competitive days, more than 300 deaf athletes who came from 14 countries and areas anticipated the game. The male group first place was Lithuania, the second place was Greece and the third place was the USA. As for the female group, the champion was finally taken by the USA, the second place was Sweden and the third place was Greece. And the prize ceremony was held in Tianhe Sports Gymnasium., the organising committees and the director of Guangzhou Sports Bureau MaDaer awarded medals to the winners.

At 7:30 PM, the 2^nd DIBF World Deaf Basketball Championship single prize ceremony and farewell party was held in the second floor of Huatai Hotel, Guangzhou. Organising committee Executive Chairman Song Zhuoping and some related government leaders issued medals to the single prize-winners.

The game's organising committee executive director, Guangzhou Disabled Persons' Federation Executive Chairman Song zhuoping made a speech on the closing ceremony, he said, the championship was finally rounded off through organiser's meticulous organisation, the player's splendid games as well as the volunteers' all-out support. We have composed a new chapter of the world deaf basketball together, it let Chinese Guangzhou offer a harmony and perfect disabled person sports grand meeting to the world, and it carried forward the Olympic spirit and the humanitarianism through games, and it also powerfully impelled the world disabled person sports forward and promoted the development of Guangzhou disabled person cause.

The officials of DIBF also made some speeches on it, they felt very satisfied with the championship-related services provided by the organisers, and they said that Guangzhou impressed them deeply and greatly.
