The Asian Para Games bidding delegation brings home the flag of the Games.

On December 2, 2006, the Guangzhou Bidding Work Group for the Asian Para Games returned home after the successful bidding effort. The Municipal Government held a brief ceremony at the Guangzhou Olympic Sports Administration Centre for People with Disabilities to celebrate the successful bidding and to welcome the flag of the Asian Para Games. Zhao Nanxian, Vice Secretary-General of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government, presided over the ceremony. Su Zequn, head of the bidding work group and Vice Mayor of Guangzhou, handed the flag of the Asian Para Games to Song Zhuoping, President of the Guangzhou Disabled Persons' Federation, ushering in the new model of hosting the Asian Games and the Asian Para Games in the same city. Guo Deqin, President of the Guangdong Disabled Persons' Federation, stated at the welcome ceremony that Guangzhou's successful bid to host the first Asian Para Games in 2010 represents a tremendous promotion showcasing Guangzhou's undertakings for people with disabilities and enhancing the city's standing among Asian cities, facilitating the building of a more harmonious Guangzhou.
