Dragon Boat Race for people with a disability held in Panyu

PANYU - The Dragon Boat Race 2009 - a special event specifically for people with a disability from Guangzhou and Hong Kong was co-organised by Guangzhou Disabled Persons' Federation and Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council of Hong Kong, operated by Disabled Persons' Federation of Panyu District Guangzhou.

This competition was first held in 2008 and participants were made up of people with a disability from Hong Kong and Guangzhou.

Mr Xie Xile, Vice Chariman of Guangdong Disabled Persons' Federation gives a speech.

Mr Tung Chi Fat, General Secretary of Hong Kong Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council, makes a speech at the launch ceremony.

Ms Zhang Xiaobo, Vice Chairman of Disabled Persons' Federation of Panyu District Guangzhou, receives gifts from Mr Tung Chi Fat.

The Dragon Boat Races attracted a swarm of villagers and was broadcast live by both Guangzhou TV and Panyu TV.
