Malaysia had offered its expertise to help Guangzhou City in staging the first Asian Para Games in the Chinese city in 2010.
The offer was made by the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) President Datuk Zainal Abu Zarin to Guangzhou Disability Council Director-General Song Pi Wen in an informal discussion at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, here Thursday.
"I am offering the assistance and expertise in my capacity as APC President as well as Acting President of the Malaysia Paralympic Council (MPC) and as a friend," Zainal told Pi Wen in their over-the-tea discussion.
Pi Wen said he was impressed with the organisation of the FESPIC Games in Kuala Lumpur.
He said Guangzhou would try to match the games standard that had been set by Kuala Lumpur.
The ninth and last edition of the Fespic Games will end tomorrow with the closing ceremony officiated by Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Azalina Othman Said. (The End)
