Asian Para Games's design meeting is held.

The organisers of the forthcoming 16^th Asian Games held a design meeting for collecting the emblem and mascot of the 10^th Asia Para Games. Many notable experts and design institutes have already submitted their proposals.

Guangzhou is the first host city after the name-changer of the event to the Asian Para Games and the first time that both the Asian Games and Asian Para Games are to be held in the same city.

GAGOC project leader of Asian Para Games was Mr Chen Jun, who said the 10^th Asian Para Games would be held on December 12 to 19, 2010 in Guangzhou and the overall agenda had been worked out including the sport events, stadiums and training venues.

Participates had a heated discussion on the emblem and mascot designs of Asian Para Games. They exchanged opinions about the organisation and implementation of the collection and advice on how to build the brand and image of Asian Para Games.

Mr Luo Jingjun, Deputy Director of Press & Publicity Department of Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Director of Games Communication & Promotion Department of GAGOC attended the meeting. He introduced the requirements and imagination of the emblem and mascot and Mr Gu Shiyang, Deputy Secretary of Guangzhou Municipal and GAGOC, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
